Engine transmission issue - maybe?

Greetings to all!

So here is the deal...

I have a 2007 M/T TSX. Occassionally when I am starting out in 1st and my RPM's drop below 1K (moving around slowly in a drive way or in my apartment complex), there is a type of grinding sound. It MOSTLY occurs when I am turning hard around a corner, going slow of course, and when my A/C is on.

I described this to one of the Acura technicians when I was getting my car serviced and he explained this is completely natural, especially when the A/C is on, because on a A/T the car will never go below 1K RPM's whereas on a M/T you can obviously do what you will with the power of the car. He said that the engine will make the sound due to all these factors, especially making hard turns.

NOW - I just need to get that re-assurance...does anyone else have this issue and have heard the same thing from a technician??

I hope it's nothing major. :/

Thanks for the advice!

If I'm in gear, my engine feels like it's going to quit if I don't keep it above 1K rpm. Doesn't matter if I have the A/C on or not; or making a turn or not. If you're not having any grinding noise when above 1K, no need to worry about it. After the car is warmed up, idle should be ~800rpm. The car is going to struggle in 1st gear at 800rpm. Give it more juice!

BTW...I have a '04 6MT @ 128K miles.
