Engine Light-O2 controller??
Engine Light-O2 controller??
Hey All......
A newbie question.....After installing an Injen CAI, DC Sports Header and DC Sports (CAT back) exhaust, I decided the DC Sports exhaust was too loud and re-installed the stock exhast....Only to see the engine light come on....
The service guys said it was the O2 controller cable (the primary connected to the header downpipe)....So I bought a new one...Light stayed off until I drove down the road and then it re-appeared........So they ran their diagnostic and got the error code and now say that the SECONDARY controller is faulty....
How does the O2 controller just "go bad" just like that? It worked fine with the DC Sports exhaust which I was driving with for a few days...Then I put back on the stock exhaust (kept the DC sports header on, though) and now the primary blows and then the secondary..??
I must mention that the DC Sports downpipe had faulty threading (bad wielding job from the factory which left a tiny bead in the screw hole of the downpipe itself), which apparently cross-threaded the original primary controller....Which we correcSo we're guessing that the apparently "forced" screwing in of the first controller probably damaged it....BUt the secondary as well?
Any ideas? Would an Injen CAI and a DC Sports header on the stock exhaust cause the controllers to freak out or blow or something of the sort?
Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated..
Thanks,
Jeremy
