Question Dust underneath the CD Screen

Hello all,

It's my first post and I'd like to start off and say this site is great, it reminds me of the Infiniti G20 site I use to visit till I sold my G. I'm officially now a proud owner of a 2004 Acura TSX.

I hate to bring this up, since it's just a cosmetic issue, however it's been driving me crazy.

How do I clean the dust underneath the screen on the CD unit? has anyone attempted it? is there an easy way of doing it? etc.

Thanks,

TSXMAYU

There have been several threads about this problem. I'll put the link to the most recent of them below. Getting the dust out is possible, but a bunch of disassembly is required, as you'll see. My message toward the bottom of this thread provides links to the other threads (at least some of them). The dust got into my audio display while my car was at the dealer's body shop waiting to be fixed. Eventually the dealer's service department did the dust-removal job -- after Acura (the corporation) agreed to cover the cost.

So sorry rx280, I just realized that I never replied to your message.
I've been mia for a while and am not that great navigating through this forum.
I ended up getting the dust blown out free at the dealer since they had to replace a chip in the instrument cluster under warranty cause my radio/temp lights went out.

Thanks again for your reply
