Dtc P0171

Hey guys, CEL checked, and I'm getting P0171 (system too lean). Any thoughts were to look to fix this?

P0171 = fuel supply system too lean. Check fuel pressure and possibly dirty injectors.

FWIW, my brother has a '99 Accord 4cyl and was dogged for more than a year tracking down the culprit of a CEL with this code. It turned out his fuel pressure regulator was bad/clogged/whatever. He replaced it and now no CEL, runs terrific, etc. Does your car run rough or hesitate at higher rpms?

Just one of many possibilities, but bear it in mind. He replaced MAP sensor, O2 sensor, and finally narrowed it down to the fuel press reg. Good luck!

Yea, sometimes the car runs rough while cruising, and even at times accelerating.

Like JTso said, check fuel pressure and injectors, those are very typical suspects.
