Driver's Window Jammed

Hey there guys, I've had my '04 TSX, 6-Spd for a few months now. I just signed up today, and this is my first thread, so forgive me if this thread is already on here somewhere... but i'm having some trouble with my Driver's door window.

When it goes down to the bottom, it gets a little stuck. It will go all the way down, and come back up, but when it's about 5-6 inches from the bottom, it slows way down. Then when i try to put it up using the "Auto" the window will actually stop and go back down, unless i actually hold the button up until it gets past the 5 or 6 inch point. I removed the door panel but its hard to see what's going on in there. has anyone else had this problem, or maybe know of a recall or somehting??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks guys,
-Dan

More than likely the window needs to relearn the upper and lower limits of the track. I don't remember the learning procedure off hand, but if you do a search I'm sure you'll come up with it. Unless somebody else can post it up, I know the search feature isn't working all that well right now.

Hold down button for 5-10 sec, hold up for 5-10 sec.

Is it really that easy? I thought there was some programming sequence that had to be done.

hey guys.. that doesnt seem to be the problem... the window really gets stuck on the way up, from the bottom position. it starts to move, but then it tilits back, and jams up. if i pull it forward, then it seems to move freely. i tried to make some adjustments to the bracket that hold the glass to the mechanism, but no luck. has anyone else had this issue?? if so, what did you do to fix it? i think i might need to replace the piece that slides up and down that guides the window, but i'm not sure how hard it would be, or where to get it.

also, do you guys think maybe i can get away with just cleaning and/or lubricating the rubber gaskets around the window??

thanks for reading, and for any input you can give!

-Dan

if you're still under warranty, try taking it to the dealer and have them check if the actuator and everything is still working properly

I've had a similar issue with my car since moving to Florida. Have you tried cleaning the window really well? I did this and also the rubber that was preventing the window from going all the way up.
