I have an 04 TSX and it seem like the lower cushion heater doesn't work. The Back works when you put it on high. Anyone else have this problem? How hard would it be for me to replace the heating element in the seat? The stealership is asking $475 to replace the lower seat.

 

I have just encountered the same problem with my 2004 TSX. The drivers side seat bottom element isn't working - I was quoted approx $350 for the element and $150 to install. Not covered by warranty as the car is over 3 yrs old now. I am going to contact acura and see what they say. The dealer said it is a common problem caused by the wire flexing due to sitting on the seat. I find this unacceptable. If they won't assist I will be looking for an after market part.

 

Go to the wreckers and buy a seat, even if the side airbags have been deployed. You only need the base.

 

I also had this problem on my 05' TSX took it to Woodfield Acura, and it was covered under warranty.

 

I spoke with Acura Canada and although my car is out of warranty they are going to cover the part cost and I have to pay installation. Calling the 1-888 number worked.
