Door hold brackets squeaking
On each door there is a thin metal bar that keeps the doors open from partial to half full and then fully open. These bars are in the middle between each set of hinges. The rear door bars started to squeak when opening and closing the doors - I put some high temp grease on these bars but it only lasts several weeks and then the doors start squeaking again. Any suggestions?

I have a similar squeak on my passenger side rear door. I tried spraying some silicone spray into the hole that the bar comes out of but no luck. I think its something internal, you might have to take the door panels apart. Which seems fairly easy looking at some DIY instructions.

Someone stole "My Garage"
Mine have been doing this for years. I've tried silicone sprays (usually awesome on squeaks/creaks), also tried a petroleum-based anti-rust spray which is like a goopy foam stuff that is excellent for lubricating and also creeping into tight spaces. Neither worked.

I also had this problem for years and just like curls, I tried almost everything. Then I found Shin-Etsu Grease (http://www.handa-accessories.com/tsx04.html) and gave that a try. It didn't work at first, but I kept swinging the door open and close until the noise lessen. I applied more of the grease and kept on working the doors and magically the noise disappeared.
