Does your TSx dent and ding easily?
My TSX gets dings so easily. They are all on the rear quarter panel. Does your TSX ding easily? How can i fix them myself? How much you think it is to get them taken out?
My answer is "yes"
I have a slight depression on the left side of the trunk lid because I must have pushed down on it when closing the trunk.
This is before I realized that there is a handle inside the trunk for this.

i have a light dimple on one of my rear doors. i don't even know when exactly it showed up. but i've been meaning to get it fixed.
just as an example as to how easy these cars dent, a friend of mine has an RSX. it was parked on the street. some kids were nearby tossing a football around. a pass went long and this kid ran right into the rear of my friend's car and made a huge dent in the trunk lid and broke off his wing.

I think if you search the forum here, you'll find a post about the sheet metal being unusually thin in our cars (aerodynamics???). You have to baby the sh*t out of them to prevent dings
I actually look for dings everytime I park in a parking lot because I am actually that crazy.

I recall seeing in TL forum a way to get dents out with dry ice or liquid CO2 from a duster. You need to heat up the panel first with a blow dryer and then use the CO2 to cool it quickly. The expansion/contraction/expansion is supposed to "pop" the dent. No idea on how the paint is effected; that was the biggest concern from TL owners.

ALWAYS park out in West Bumble. The thin metal and crappy paint is a bad combo. Best protection is park where there is no chance for anything to bump into your ride. I always hug the left side of a spot as well as every car has a driver, but not always a passenger so much more likely for some jackass to slam a door into your passenger side.
It first started with 2 dings on the hood. Thought it was the newspaper falling onto my car & not infront of my door, then two on the roof of the car. I used my elbow to close the trunk & dented it. Genius huh?!! One more ding on that line we have on the driver's back door.
I hit a short tree stump & the paint chipped of on two parts of the lower portion of the bumper. My car's a mess!

You wouldnt be the first person! I closed the trunk of my friends 07 Camry with my elbow too (as he was polishing it) and it put a small dent in it. I think most newer cars are made with a thinner metal or something.
A room mate from a long time ago decided to put a trashcan right outside of the garage behind my parking spot. When i opened the garage, i was sitting in the car already and the trash can was just low enough so that i couldn't see it in the rearview because of the rear height. I wasn't going that fast. I only let off the brake pedal until i heard a slight noise. I got out to check and the trash can was bumped a few inches. Unfortunately, there was a ding in the trunk right above where it says TSX on the trunk. The metal there feels like it's much thicker there as well. But it still dented. The trash can was empty too.
I work in Newark, NJ. I come into Newark ONLY one way, and I leave Newark, the same way in reverse. I don't leave my building AT ALL unless I'm going home. Never. Last August, on a Friday, I went to pick-up my daughter at NWK airport, in the late afternoon. By the most direct route; Market Street. Its a 10 minute drive. I'm on Market–like 15 miles phr, traffic, crossing an intersection–when, in the corner of my eye, on the right, this 1980-ish, Jeep Cherokee flies out of the side street–headed right for me. I swerved in my lane–and hit the brakes as the Jeep raked my right side from wheel well, to wheel well with a hellish sound! Pulled over behind the Jeep on a rundown side street. Woman driver. Screaming boyfriend. Both hysterical. No insurance card in the 'Junker', no licenses to be found. And a nasty, 4 inch wide, 4.5 foot black, scrape across my right, 2 door panels. When they calmed down (I was calm), I was told she was fleeing from being raped by some guys on the street.
OK. I wrote down all the info I could find–and called the cops. And waited. And waited. A half hour goes by no cops. Thats it fnckin' out-a-here. But the guy sez he'll have my car fixed for me. Like a dummy, I give him my home ph#. He lives at the local 'Y' and would not be 'reachable'.
I pick-up my daughter, and, when I get home I'm too sick to my stomach, to bring myself to look at my baby; the tsx.
Next day, Saturday, I get up the courage to wash the car and assess the obvious damage. Guess what. The rubber off the only part of the Jeeps bumper, that had rubber; peeled right off the side of my tsx. Nothing. Not a mark remained. I could not believe it! I just don't think my old Honda would have faired as well as my lil' satin silver. This guy called me 2 weeks later to settle-up. I said to him: "No damage done. Pack that 'insurance card' in the GB, and have an early, Christmas present from me." He could not believe it. End of story.
