I have tried EVERYTHING to clean the carbon build up off of my exhaust tips, NOTHING even remotely works. Any suggestions? Please and Thanks!

Some never dull or mothers metal billetcleaner. I used a power ball which helped with some of the labor.

I use something called Barkeeper's Friend. It's a powder and comes in a can like Comet. It's made for brass and other metals. The carbon buildup comes right off. I use it about twice a year. I have no idea where to buy it because I found it at my parent's house...but it works really well.

I use 1500 grit wet sand paper, water and baking powder; just make suer you sand in the same direction of the grain. I do this 2-3 times a year and each time the tips look literally brand new. That's saying something for an 04 first titled in July 04.

I did this just yesterday using a Dremel tool with small polishing wheel and Turtle Wax Polishing Compound. I had been previously tried doing this by hand using Nevr-Dull but was unable to get the buildup off completely like this.

I use some metal polishing compound on my comptech tips. Elbow grease and time take care of it. Like someone else mentioned, I do it about 2x a year.

I have seen and heard great things about Nevr Dull. I used this strong cleaner to clean off my tips called BRASSO I got from Home Depot and it works great...smells terrible though lol.

That dremel clean looks amazing though, might have to try that one of these days

Wash & Wax subforum in Off Topic probably has a lot of suggestions for cleaning these.
