Is this dealer BS-ing? (A/C & heater related problem)

Hey guys,

I have a 08 and my two center vents are blowing out air of different temperature. For example I put it at 61F in winter or 70F in summer, I can feel one side is definitely warmer than the other side by my hand (the DUAL mode and Auto mode are off). It doesn't bother me in winter. But in summer one side is cool and one side is warm....is just annoying

I drop off the car at the dealer in the morning and after they checked they say it's due to "distance to the heater", that's why there is a difference in temp. Is it BS?

Do you have a thermometer to measure the temperatures coming out of each vent? I would do that to make it an objective observation, because "distance to the heater" is BS. If that were true, every TSX owner would be complaining. Perhaps the separate sides of the HVAC went off calibration; meaning it's behaving in dual mode even though this function is off.
Options: Try a different dealer. If the dealership gives you BS, try an independent shop specializing in Automotive AC/Heater.

UPDATE:
Okay, today I went to other dealer (Acura of Brookfield). They measure temp at 68F ...left is blowing out 110F and right is blowing out 122 F. So they EVACUATE and RECHARGE the AC system. Then the difference in temp is reduced a lot. I think it's not BS this time right?

Btw what is evacuate and recharge means? Thanks guys

^^To Evacuate and Recharge is to mean they took out the old, and put in new refrigerant fluid (R134).
