Question Crackling noise

I have a crackling / pop noise that seems to me coming from the speakers. I hear this when the rardio is on but turned all the way down. It just started in the past month. I dont know what the problem could be. It does it once every few minutes it seems. I thought it was a blown speaker or something but with it coming from what seems to be all of them and the volume turned all the way down I dont know what to think. I am going to the dealer to have some work done this week and will bring it up then but was just wondering if anyone else had heard of this problem.

I haven't had any problems. You may want to post this in the "Problems and Fixes" area or the "Audio & Video" area. BTW was in P'cola over the weekend.

This has started happening in my '06 as well... I noticed a pop/snap noise in the speaker, EVEN when my stereo is turned off! I realized that its realated to the Air Conditioning cutting on and off... Once the AC has been on for about 15 minutes, it starts to automatically cut on and off -- at these moments there is a pop/snap noise that comes out of the speakers. Must be an electricle problem of some sort.

I took my car to the dealer to see what they could find, and they couldn't replicate it (must have failed to leave the AC on for 15 minutes). The crazy thing is, the LOANER They gave me had the same problem! Before I pin-pointed it, the sound had been so loud on occassions that I thought it was a stone/pebble hitting my windshield on the highway.

Anyone else have this issue?

Maybe you're just hearing things. =P sike. Try taking out the speakers, and putting them back in.

I hear a crackling sound sometimes with my 06...even if the radio is turned really low. For me, the noise goes away when I push the window outward near the door knob...

I leave the a/c on all the time, so who knows if that a/c thing above is the cause of it...but the window helps

Please repost this in Audio & Video . I seem to recall reading about this a while back. You may want to search Audio & Video for existing threads on this topic.
