condensation spots behind the clock plastic on dash
condensation spots behind the clock plastic on dash
During the summer three condensation spots appear behind the plastic in front of the clock on the dash. Has anyone else experienced this situation and if so, is there anything i can do. I showed the dealer and they said that they would have to take the whole dash apair to fix it.
First off, they would need to take it off to clean it. This is not an airtight unit. This issue is probably caused by high humidity, cracked windows, or use of a cleaner on the dash lense. I've seen using a hair dryer to heat that area up to remove the condensation, but there is not telling if that will cure it. Truly, the only way to remove the spots is to remove the lense and cleaning it with a quality cleaner like Stoners.
