Coil Packs
I have searched.
Planning on doing my Sons 04 TSX spark plugs in a few days. At the age of 61, I've yet to change plugs with a coil pack. I'm sure its simple but any guidance/advice on coil pack removal/loosening of wires would be helpful. Pics would be nice. Forgive me if this has been discussed 1000 times.
Oh and I'm doing tranny fluid also. Search said 2.1 quarts. Are gaskets required on the drain/fill plugs? GL-5 or GL- 4 fluid.
Thanks

I think its straight foward.
There are bolts on each plug adapter when you take off the engine cover.
Then you need to get an spartplug remover and a extension.
Other than that i think you just need to loser it and use the adapter to pull each plug out.

Remove the spark plug cover and you will see the coil packs. Remove the hold-down bolt on top of each coil pack and pull the coil packs up to remove.
You don't need gaskets for the tranny fluid change. There is a drain washer and a fill washer. Use Honda MTF. 2 to 2.1 qt to fill and make sure the car is supported on level ground.

Thanks sodaluver. I will go with the MTF. I'm running out of time or would get the RedLine.
Now don't laugh but I got the Autolite Plats. I am certainly not saying they are as good as the NGK's but I have used them in a number of vehicles and they have proved to be excellent. My intent is only to leave them in there for 30K miles or so. I am a big fan of frequent replacement of plugs. My Nissan SR20DE had a set and they did quite well. I will be pulling them out in the near future.
BTW its for my son's Acura..so why should I care.
j/k.
