clutch pedal sqeaking?

clutch pedal sqeaking?

I'm at 38,000 miles and sometimes if I press on the clutch pedal soft enough, it'll squeak a little and I could feel it vibrate from my foot. Sounds like it needs some oil.

Anyone else experience this?

just started happening to me a few days ago - coincident with the arrival of some very warm/hot/humid weather. It only seems to flare up when the heat gets above 85-90 degrees F.

there are a bunch of threads that I've found discussing this issue. No real consensus on the correct remedy. Even the Acura service depts seem confused on this one.
I'm not sure what I'll do...

I'm not sure what I'll do...

I have the exact same problem with my 05 TSX... the car only has 9000km on it.. and its freaking driving me nuts.. gonna take it to the dealer soon to get it fixed.

Just ask the dealership to look it over next time you bring it in for maintenance.

I first had a lubrication job, but that lasted 1 week. After that, I had my clutch master cylinder replaced. So far it is ok.

it'll come back in a little while. I had mine replaced and now it is acting up again. There may not be a permanent solution for this ever. I am still learning to ignore the fact...but very hard.

sorry to ruin your day, but it sounds like your clutch is on its way to make the annoying clicking sound. if i remember right, what you're hearing now is what i heard on my clutch pedal before it progressed to an annoying clicking sound.

so far, after replacing the master cylinder TWICE, i haven't heard any clicking sound. but in the back of my mind, i know it will return!!!

I'm slated to get my master clutch cylinder replaced to get this problem fixed. Definitely isn't encouraging to hear that it probably will come back again.

I believe many Accord Euro R's in europe are experiencing the same problem.

I've had the bushings on my clutch lubed (woo...sounds dirty!) twice now to try to fix it. However, the "clicking/squeaking" only seems to come on with hot & humid weather (which we've been having here in Saskatchewan a lot lately!)

yup, hot and humid weather definitely brings this on. As soon as cooler weather rolls in every few days, the problem vanishes...

clutch pedal problems

My car has 30K miles and I've had my master cylinder replaced at about 10K and at 25K. At the moment it's ok, but I'm also concerned that this will be a recurring problem.

So where is this problem going to end? I've been to the dealer for it twice now; last time it wasn't making the noise when I took it in so I have to go back yet again. But so far anyone that has had this problem can't get it fixed. The tech said mine was the first car he's seen with the problem, but it apparently isn't just mine.

I noticed my clutch was squeaking a couple of days ago... it was when I first started my car in the morning... With the Hurricane Dennis passing through we gotten a bit of rain and its just damn hot and humid as of late so maybe that also contributed to the noise... but after shifting from 1 through 3 (with the squeaking) it stopped and I haven't heard it since then...

lubed many times. Finally getting the mc replaced which will cure it. It was a recall on the accords.

Hopefully they'll make it a recall on TSX too. I'll be out of warranty soon and don't want this problem to f- me in the long run.

Does anyone know where to lube? since this is a intermittent solution, i would prefer doing it myself rather than driving my car to the dealership...

As I said in my other post (FAQ section), they lubricated the entire linkage from pedal to master cylinder. I'd assume only pivot points though.

FWIW, I had the clutch "spring assembly" replaced a couple of months ago and the squeaking has not come back yet. I'm not sure how this relates to the master cylinder, or perhaps it is part of it, but you may want to ask about this at the dealer.

This was after a few lubricating attempts.

keep getting it looked at. If it's looke at multiple times while under warranty and they don't fix the problem it should be easy enough to get the work done after its expired if they don't recall it.

Just had the clutch master cylinder replaced today and it seems like it's fixed. Hopefully it will stay that way, but from what I'm reading I'm not too optimistic.

Not sure actually. It's only been a few weeks since the fix but the creak usually came back by now after the lube jobs they kept doing.

It was wierd not expecting that creak after it was fixed. So much better.
