Clutch issues have me wondering

So here is the short story. I was coming off the highwat returning home. Went to downshift into second after braking to take a left hand turn into town. Clutch pedal goes straight to the floor, no pressure on the pedal whatsoever.

I managed to jam it into 1st and limp it home.

So far i have replaced the Master, Salve, and entire clutch line with stainless braided line. I cannot seem to build enough pressure to engine the clutch and put it in gear.

When the car is running the pedal feels spongy and soft, but when the car is off the pedal build a little pressure like it should feel.

Do i need to crack the tranny open or am I still chasing air in the system.
BTW Clutch has 8k miles on it after being replaced last year.

Any help would be appreciated.

Pedal bracket was replaced last year.

It's like there is still air in the system.

When bleeding the clutch try and prevent the slave cylinder from moving. I found that a spare block of wood between the fork and the lifting point on the transmission made getting all the air out of the system much easier.

Clutch master-tube-slave total volume is very small and even a small amount of air will cause problems.

Some bleed from bottom by pumping fluid uphill to reservoir to displace air.

Sometimes clutch slave can be positioned where a small air trap is formed. It may be necessary to loosen and tilt slave to get last air pocket.

good luck

clutch is shot. Had a shop bleed then reverse bleed and nothing changed.

Could be faulty release bearing or broken pressure plate, but with only 8000miles since brand new clutch and flywheel i am not impressed.

Could it be an install issue or just a bad part?

Are you able to push clutch release fork w/o any resistance? Is clutch slave not moving?

good luck
