clutch adjustment ?
clutch adjustment ?
Hi guys,
I have an issue ( I think it's a day one issue , since I bought this brand new ) with the biting point of the clutch.
When engaging the clutch I have to fully depress the clutch in order the gear to be engaged ... not sure I have made myself clear ... the travel of the clutch pedal is too long , can this be shorten ? Can this be adjusted ?
For instant in my Civic, biting point of the clutch pedal is much much shorter , you barely depress the clutch pedal and the car start to moves instantly - which is not the case with the accord which need much longer travel and only after fully depressed the car start to move ...
That's why I'm asking this, can this be adjusted ?
For instant a friend of mine , who has an accord like mine, does not have this issue, the travel is shorter , that's why I'm thinking that this might be adjustable somehow ...

I don't recall seeing any adjustment when I was messing with stuff trying to get the oft described clicking to go away. I would suggest that you check your clutch fluid level and condition. If need be flush it out with new stuff. Either way you should try bleeding the clutch line too.
