Clunk in the front?

So I have a 2004 MT and I have been having this clunk type noise coming from the passenger side of the car when I go over a speed bump or any sharp vertical change (like a small lip onto the sidewalk). Now it is starting to make the same noise occasionally when I make a sharp turn especially at low speeds like in a parking garage.

I took into Firestone today to have them test the front suspension and they said they found nothing wrong. I believe the noise might be coming from a tie rod end or ball joint. What is your guy's input? Tonight when I get home I might bust out the jack and take another look, or just bite the bullet and take it to Acura or a Honda dealer. Any input on what else it could be and/or if anyone else has experienced similar issues.

I have heard that sometimes the TIEN springs can make a little noise. If anyone has experienced this can you please describe it.

Thanks everyone.

I have a 04 manual also and this sounds alot like the clunk I was hearing. It ended up being the radiator vibrating and bouncing around under the hood. I haven't found a permanent fix yet but for now a shop rag is wedged between the front of the car and the radiator to keep it from moving. No more clunks when I go over bumps.

Interesting... I'll have to check out the radiator mounting. I have the same clunking, very intermittently on my 04 TSX 6MT. I mostly notice it on slow, near full-lock turns over cambered surfaces (ie: pulling into a driveway or into an uneven parking space). It's definitely coming from the front. I thought maybe the struts or something in the suspension might have been loose, since I upgraded to the A-Spec suspension several years ago.

Interesting, I will take a look at the mounts for the radiator. My problem sounds a little too solid to be a radiator and it also happens ever once in a while when I returning from a full lock turn, like the ball joint or tie rod end is reseting. After talking to some mechanics, they and I think its the lower ball joint or wheel bearing, so both of those are getting replaced this weekend.

I will keep you guys posted if it resolves.

i had a similar clunk noise in the front end as well. dealer re-tighted the radiator mounts and put foam insulation where it was hitting the frame. noise is gone. the odd time you can still hear it though. maybe i need to re-tighted again or add additional foam.

I think thats where my sound came from two when ever I started the car I heard a clunk.

It was also one of the upper control arms that was worn out after so many potholes in nyc.
