Question CD Player

Just curious if anyone else is having this problem: my CD player sometimes sounds like I am playing a scratched vinyl record. It will sound very staticy @ times & start to skip & eventually stop playing & give me an error msg. The odd thing is that it does not always do it ... sometimes they play fine & it always does not mess up @ the same spot on the same CD. When I took it to the dealer they said the player is not guaranteed to play burned CDRs & I have yet to try a regular CD but I thought I would try here 1st

Also, sometimes I hear a very faint rattle on the drivers side that seems to go along w/ the bass line, even when I do not have the volume up high (level 10 even) ...

Thanks all

I only use burned CDs, and I have never had this problem - must be the player.

As for the buzzing check out the service bulletin -

I think you have the famous door rattle like most of the TSX owners. As for the CDs not playing, I only get that when the CDs are too scratched up.

I will definetly have them look @ the player again since it works for U, not to mentioned they all worked in my Accord so I find that theory suspect.

I read that thread but it says the rattle happens when played loudly so I was not sure if it applied to my problem since it happens @ low levels.

Thanks

According to the bulletin that is linked above, it is up to your local dealer as to whether or not they want to do it for you ...

I don't think its CD-R related. I pretty much play all burned CD-Rs without problem. I guess the trick is to get it to do it with a retail CD and then reproduce it to the service technician. Good Luck.
