car makes a clicking noise while stopped
Hello,
There's some cause for concern on my acura. i currently drive a 2005 tsx, 141kms, automatic transmission.
whenever i'm stopped at a red light and i'm in "D" my car gradually makes a clicking/clonking noise after 1-2 seconds and gradually gets louder when i'm at a complete stop, when i start moving 1-3km+ the clicking goes away.
When i'm in neutral my car doesn't make a noise, when i'm in park, my car also does not make a noise. it seems that it's only when my car is in "D" and the brakes are applied that the noise comes into play.
can anyone provide any insight on what the issue might be?

Could be a motor mount or loose exhaust pipe or converter heat shield. Need to jack up and inspect heat shields.
Motor mounts can be inspected by placing car in D or R w/ foot brake and ebrake firmly set. Observe front/rear mounts for excessive movement.
good luck
