A/C leaking water...with car OFF?

I know it's normal for the A/C to leak water...but is it normal for it to leak for up to an hour after I turn the car off? I run the A/C, and then I park it...I come back an hour or two later and there's a pretty sizeable pool of water under the car aft of the engine.

I don't know for sure that it's coming from the A/C (I've never actually seen it drip), but what else could it be? I tasted it, and it didn't taste like much, so it can't be oil or coolant. All my fluids are in good shape.

1) NEVER, EVER, EVER taste stuff from your drive way, especially if you don't know what it is!!!
2) As the above post states, it is condensation from the compressor

Well.....actually the condensation drips off the evaporator. (And in answer to the original question) The condensation remains on the evaporator fins even after the system is shut off. Think of a glass of ice water...the condensation on the outside of the glass is still there even after you empty the glass. It may continue to drip for several hours.

There is no fluid in your car that will send you to the ER by tasting a finger-tip-sized sample. Might ruin your taste for beer for a few hours but that's about it.

I encourage anyone who thinks a good idea to taste fluids that came from their car to follow their intuitions.

Let's revisit this question my mdx did this today and i was wondering what the outcome was? Is it just obsessive condensation.
