I smell this burning rubber smell coming from around my tires, after normal driving. I know the e brake isnt on, and I havent done any really hard breaking. This smell seems to happen everytime I drive. Anybody else have this or have any ideas wuts going on?

Thanx

If it's certified used, it probably was given a recent oil change. Some of the drained oil will give off vapor smell when the engine is warm. It will go away in about a week.

Since its not brand new the only thing I can think of is that one of your calipers is binding a bit. But, that smell would be different than a burnt oil smell.

Have you made absolutely sure none of the tires is rubbing on anything, inside and out? Not rubbing a brake line, for instance?

You know, I have this problem too... with moderately fast driving (nothing crazy), when I park the car it smells like burning something, and it has ever since I got the first oil change (I've had three since then). I've been ignoring it, but now I'm really concerned... 2006 with 13K miles on it.

???

I was told that was the paint burning off the muffler???? I have an 06 TSX (14500 mi) and I also smell a burning smell after I get out of my vehicle....although I don't think it's rubber.

automatic. I owned a Mitsubishi Mirage back in 2000 and remembered having the same problem. The smell went away after a while and someone told it was my muffler back then too??? I'm hoping it's the same thing with my TSX.

when i first bought my car i hit the heated side mirrors button. And when i parked i smelt the burning smell and realized thats what it was. It was like 80 degrees out, which doesnt help.
