B-Pillars

This is minor, but I'm a stickler for everything looking perfect.

The B-pillar covers on both sides of my '09 have irregular-shaped shiny sections on them. (Shoulda taken a pic). Looks sorta like the heel of someone's hand left grease there.

First thought they'd polish out, but they don't. Anyone else have funky B-pillars?

I believe he's talking about the exterior. The one on my drivers door has a little ding in it that drives me equally nuts. I read on here somewhere that the black part is just a plastic cover and that it's really cheap. I haven't bothered looking into it.

I would suggest trying to remove the shiny substance with straight rubbing alcohol. If that doesn't do anything than it's most likely the plastic itself rather than something being on it.

The black exterior cover(s) is what I meant.

If they're cheap, I'll just order 4 new ones. I shoulda had that taken care of the day I got it.

Don't wax them. Wax on non-shiny plastic looks like crap and it's very difficult to remove. I wouldn't bother trying to clear coat them either.
