"Auto" button backlight color changed

I just noticed today that the backlight on the "auto" function changed color. All the other backlights light up as normal (light green), but the backlight of the auto words has become light orange, not the same color as the others.

Any ideas for fixing this problem? Thanks.

My best guess is that the bulb underneath the switch is an ordinary incandescent bulb, with a green silicone cap on it to give it it's green color. The cap has probably slipped off.

Can I remove the button easily? To slip the cover back on? I will post a pic of the color change.

Here is a pic. It looks ok because it kind of highlights the auto feature, but I think I like all the colors matching. If I can't fix it, I will have to live with it. Damn broken roads around my work!

I like it! That looks kinda cool! Sort of to let you know that button is for Auto. Now you have slightly TL Type S dash!

But yeah, I don't think its worth taking out your head unit for that cause you have to disassemble the whole unit to get back there.

Thanks for the support. It does work, just hope other buttons don't start to change...

It is not very noticeable and does not stick out like a sore thumb. I can live with it!

it might be more trouble than its worth to fix it. the dealer might take care of it for you. but yeah, like mentioned above, the green cap over the bulb might've came off.
