For Anyone Fighting A-Pillar Rattle
For weeks I've have been irritated by a rattle that I was certain was coming from the mid to lower portion of the driver's side A-pillar. It was more like a cracking noise that occured mostly when hitting bumps with the left side wheels. After taking the trim piece off a number of times (note the bent "Side Curtain Airbag" thingy ) and trying different things, I finally tried stuffing a couple of paper towels up under the headliner near the TOP of the A-pillar. See picture. This was at least a foot away from where I thought the rattle was. To my amazement the rattle has gone away.
P.S. Anyone know where I can get a new "Side Curtain Airbag" thingy?

Side curtain airbag?
Thanks for the info! I have a very slight, similar noise coming from the passenger-side A pillar.
Question: Would this paper towel placement mess up the side curtain airbag deployment path? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't, right?

The paper towel will definitly throw off the deployment vector of the airbags in the event of a serious collision. On the other hand they add like 4 whp each, so stuff a roll of brawny up there.
