I have a quick question I was hoping someone could help with. I've been resisting putting my front plate on, but I have to park on the street and I've now gotten 4 $50 tickets for no front plate. Time to put it on.

So I pull the front plate bracket out of the closet, and the bolts to attach it to the car have gone missing. I have no idea where they ran off to but I need a few new ones. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me what size bolts they are. I've looked all over the internet but it seems to be a tough guy to find.

I have an 06 tsx, and I have the small screws that keep the plate on, but not the ones that fasten the bracket to the car. Thanks in advance, I appreciate it.

They are M6x1.0 but have a special shoulder on them

 

Sorry, not a mechanic in any way shape or form. M6 is a metric thread, what do you mean by 1? 1"? 100mm? And can they be replaced by regular varieties?

 

M6x1.0: Diameter of threads is 6mm, thread pitch is 1.0 which means threads are spaced 1.0mm apart. Not sure there's a spec for the overall length of the bolt, because it's a special shouldered bolt.
