5k miles, rattles & ratteles, windshield crack
5K miles so far. 2005 model 6MT, bought in Jan 05.

Rattles allover; the most painful one is from the A pillar side, the next one from the moonroof, the third one is from rear of the car,all sounding very different frequencies.
Story: Windshield broken; Dropped my car at the dealership, test drove with mechanic for fixing all the rattles. The A pillar and the Moonroof ones were confirmed by the mechanic. They fixed the moonroof rattle and I received a call from service dept that my car had a windshield crack on the same side where the A pillar rattle was. They claim the crack must have been there when I dropped the car. I NEVER SAW IT FRIENDS; it is just a FOOT LONG on the drivers side! I DONT BELEIVE THE DELEAR.
Well, they also informed me that it will be replaced by the dealership, as there may be some 'stress' development at the A pliiar and that may be causing it. A new one has already been ordered and will be installed next week.
Question: Do I insist on brand new moldings? Will they do a good job, comparable to a Japanese factory?
