452 miles and the alignment is already scrwed up
Great...
I thought I noticed something weird from day one, but after having watched things more closely in the last couple of days, something isn't right.
Basically, when the wheel is square the car goes left. And it's not a gradual pull... I need to keep the wheel slighty turned to the right to keep it straight. And this can be reproduced on flat roads, or roads that are graded.
Anyone had any factory alignment issues?
And before anyone asks, I didn't hit anything, run over anything or drive through soemthing that would jack things up. I'm all city driving on newly paved roads.
Thoughts?
Do you think the dealer will fix something like this? Alignments are not under warranty, but you gotta figure they'll honor this, no?

no hurry. mine goes very slightly to the left 1 1/2 years ago and its still this way, but its not major so i just kept letting it go...now. i might as well just wait for new tire changes. ha! by the way. my last car. CL-S goes slightly to the right throughout the life of the car.
and no. u dont need to get it done overnight.. relax and go when u have time, wont kill your car or tire

I figure by the time I take it in, I'll have put on another 300-400 miles.

When the steering wheel is dead-straight, does the car track to the left? That's my issue.
If I head down a flat road, the car will track straight. It's just the steering wheel is slightly turned to the right.

Scrib, I'd take it in whenever it's convenient. You'll want to just have the dealer take care of it since you only have 452 miles on the car and they can't really argue on a car with so few miles.

yih
teh car has to go in anyway, because it was delivered with a scratched taillight and the area where the rear license plate sits was slightly scratched when the dealer put transferred my plate.
I got those items written and documented. Not a big deal, and they were very understanding and apologetic.
I'll probably wait until early August. Worst case... It's $89 for an alignment. But I don't expect to be responsible for that.
after reading other threads on this and other forums, some people have seemed to solve the problem by adjusting the tire pressure.
some people have had their tire pressure way out of whack upon delivery.
if you haven't done it already, check it and see what happens...

Good point... I'll check tonight.
Do most people keep it at factory recommendations? I can't recall what it is... 30PSI F/32 PSI R???
I had the same problem, and even after getting coilovers and an alignment I still have it sometimes. I think this car is just hyper-sensitive to the crown of the road, even when we can't really tell. So don't be surprised if you take it in and they tell you nothing is wrong. If I'm in the left lane I often have to give a little pressure to the right side of the wheel to keep it on the road, and obviously worse at high speeds.
Scrib, I think I had the exact same problem. Since day 1, steering wheel was a bit off-centered, need to turn slightly right to go straight. The car wasn't really pulling to the side much though if I left the steering wheel alone. But if I centered the steering wheel myself while driving, the car definitely goes a little to the left. Anyhow, just brought it in yesterday and they ran an alignment test and said the rear wheel was a bit out of spec. so fixed that and my off-centered steering wheel. FYI, my car is 2 1/2 months old and got about 2,300 KM on it and dealer had no issue fixing it for me for free. Good luck with yours...
I took my 2005 in for the same issue when it had less than 500 miles on it.
They adjusted the rear camber but I still have the problem.
Another poster here (somewhere) mentioned that some TSX's had been shipping with too short of a rear trailing arm??? Something to that effect. The dealership replaced their rear trailing arm with a new one and their problem was solved.
I'll try to dig up the thread.....

My TSX has the same problem (2005, 6MT w/Navi, 6/2005 build date). Has had the problem since the day I picked it up (6 miles). Car pretty much drives straight, but steering wheel looks off center, cocked to the right a little bit. If you hold the wheel totally straight, the car drives left.
It's at the dealership now getting looked at. Just called, and they said they're checking it out on the alignment rack. I guess we'll see what happens.
Somebody mentioned New England TSX's are affected? I am in NJ. Not too far away... Maybe northeast cars?
