Hello - I have a 2005 TSX. Since last week, when I get into the car and start it up, I cannot move the gearshift out of park and into drive (or anything else for that matter). I haven't narrowed down what I need to do exactly to move it, but it seems that all of a sudden, the gearshift gets 'released' after playing around with it for 5 minutes or so (last time it moved after shutting off the car, and moving the ignition key back to position 0 and position 1 - position 2 starts the car). This is highly annoying. Has anyone ever experienced such a problem with the TSX (or any other Acura model)?

Check to see if your brake lights are working. Often the brake pedal switch fails, which activates the shift interlock.
