Hello All,

I currently own a 2006 TSX with AT transmission. I have an opportunity to pick up a 2005 TSX as a parts car for fairly cheap. If I pick up the '05, I intend to remove all the parts and use them backup parts for my '06. What I want to know is will everything (mainly the engine/tranny, ECU, steering rack, headlights) fit directly into my '06?

I've searched the forums and couldn't find an answer.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Truly a massive undertaking that will take way too much time and effort to ever be profitable. Now, if you are just playing around and want to do this as a hobby or learning experience, than go ahead. I can't tell you how many times you will regret this project once you get into it. But to answer your question, yes the parts will all move over from a 2005 to a 2006. You can double check it yourself by using a Hollander.

 

My only purpose is to strip the '05 down and use the parts as backup parts for my '06. I have no intent on making a profit off of selling the parts from the '05. Pardon my lack of knowledge but what you mean by saying "You can double check it yourself by using a Hollander"?

What's left of that 05 TSX... I have a few things i would like to replace on my 05.
