I bought 2005 Acura tsx from a salvaged auction and radio worked before but I needed to replace the Passenger airbag but had to remove whole dash cuz it's one whole piece. But in the process had to disconnect radio/navigation but when it was reconnected it asked for a code but car didn't come w/car manual or code card but I did find 5 digit code in glove compartment and I used knobs to input code but for some odd reason it doesn't take codes period when I push in volume knob as if pushing in knob to go to next code number doesnt work. when i move the right volume knob to left or right to change numbers it works. Since I don't have preset buttons I have to use left power knob n right volume knob to unlock radio. I removed battery, fuses from underhood n inside car to reset radio n navi but it still doesn't take or move on to next input number period when I press knob in can someone help? I got the navi to unlock but not radio n I'm dying for music.

 

No error code numbers come up at all cuz if it did then I know I'm pushing in wrong number/code so I'm thinking it's a knob problem or wire. It ejects cd's but pushing in right knob seems to not work so that I can complete the five number code.

 

you do not push the tuner knob in until after the last # on the code shows up (the first 4 #'s will show up as CODE and the the #. I turn the tuner knob to the #'s

 

I thought the whole time I had to push in the tuner knob after each number until I reach the last number(5 number code). Cuz I do have to rotate the tuner knob clockwise or counterclockwise to get to the correct number since I don't have preset buttons that have numbers on them. Let's see if ur advice works.

 

Yea it doesn't work for me I tried pushing knob after rotating tuner knob to get to correct individual five number on radio dash display and i tried going to each individual number w/o pushing in tuner knob to see if anything happens or read code but nope nothing. In the dash radio screen or display whatever it is it just shows one number n the only thing I can do is rotate tuner knob to change number from 1,2,3,4,5 or 6. But I can't unlock or allowed to input 5 number code. Help sum1? Is it a faulty radio? even though it worked before changing dash/airbag. Is it a short on fuse or wire? Or is it a tuner knob problem? Help?
