I have a 2004 TSX with only 33K miles (Yes-Its true!)
All of a sudden, when I click unlock on the remote, nothing happens and I have to use the key to unlock the doors (WTF!). I turn it 2x and it opens all the locks.
Once unlocked, if I click lock on the remote, it locks all the doors except the Drivers door so once again I have to use the key to lock the drivers door (which I frequently forget to do).
If I am in the car and use the rocker switch on the Drivers door to lock the doors, it also only locks the other 3 and not the Drivers Door.

I did a bit of Googling and it sounds like I may need the Door Locak Actuator (Drivers Door) replaced, also seems as if the whole Drivers door needs to be taken apart to do it. Anyone have any experience/input with this? Any idea on costs?

I have 2 great Acura/Honda mechanics and I typically do not take the car to the dealer anymore but this sounds like it might be a job to take to the dealer to be sure there are no rattles and door is put back together properly.

Any help/thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks and great idea but taking the door apart looks a little above my pay-grade.

this happens to me as well and I have an 04 - it only happens to me when I lock/unlock the car a lot and when it is really hot outside or really cold.


Its not that big of a deal to me atleast - I just deal with it when it happens.

Same thing happen to my RDX and I just took it to Acura to replace for I think about $240 (most of it was labor). Tried to live with it for a while to save money; but, it was too much of a pain and the wife would forget to lock manually.
