2004 TSX CD Changer
Hi,
After 5 years 150,000+ miles of non-stop service, the CD changer finally stops working and takes my CDs with it and does not want to eject. (damn! it took my Metallica and Demi Lovato!!!)
The radio still works though.
When I press the number to change CD, the screen move to that number and I can hear that it is *trying* to swap the disc inside. But it fails and starts flashing ERR on the screen.
Would you guys help me to take the CDs out please?
The link I found is for removing the Nav Cd changer. Do I do the same for the non-nav cd changer?
Thanks!!!

I don't recall seeing a little hole or something where you would stick a paperclip or something to manually eject the cd. My suspicion is that the unit will need to be disassembled as it sounds like a mechanical failure of some sort.

Back in the day my HVAC/Audio headunit lights went out, they replaced the entire unit (We all know about the recall). I remember on the bill, the replacement unit said refurbished...$260. So, if you're thinking about replacing the entire unit (HVAC and audio headunit), ask the dealer how much a refurbished unit would cost...plus labor. If they quote you $2000 plus labor for a refurbed unit, seek elsewhere.

My plan is to find a way to get my CDs out and then just spend the money to buy an iPod and adapter instead.
damit! I just bought the CDs last week!!!

Awesome!! I got my CDs out. The CD Changer reset after I turned off the car and went to my office. I started my car to go to lunch and bam! the CD worked again.
It seems working normally now.
