2004 TSX Anti-Theft code help!
For starters, I do not know much at all about working on my car. I have a 2004 TSX and my battery died on me a couple weeks ago. So naturally when it prompted for the anti-theft code I put it in however it kept reading it as incorrect. The code is 100% correct as I called into my dealership and they gave me the same code that I been trying to use.
I did some research on this forum and other places and it seemed to me as if it was the antenna that was causing the issue. So I took out the CD pocket and on the right side there was a black wire that was zip-tied to the side. I remember reading this somewhere so I was in belief this was the antenna and I disconnected it. Once I tried to put the code in again the code was still read as being incorrect
Did I disconnect the wrong wire? Am I supposed to do anything else? Or does anybody have any other suggestions?
I really do not want to bring it into the dealership again because they are going to charge me $150 off the bat just to diagnose what's wrong and then probably more charges for any other work that is does.
All help is appreciated, thank you in advanced.
