2 mods for 3 buck$
Auto dimmer mod:
I had some blinding issues with drivers tail gating me with their lights on during the day.
I drive down a 40 mile stretch of road one way to work.
Its one those two lanners high-ways that require cars to have their lights on during day light hours..
The auto dimmer simply would not work during the day, so I just would flip up the mirror, and when I was off that road I had to readjust it back.
So what I did was.. Got some electrical tape, and tape off the daylight sensor, on the back of the mirror. This enable the dimmer to do its work during the day, now I am not bother by folks on my a$$ or by someone who forgets she has the high beams on behind me.
I can now turn it on or off using the front buttons.
.75$ for tape.
front grill mod:
Number 2
The front grill, the lower portion of it, closest to the ground.
I notice it was a scoop for dirt, bugs, McDonald bags, base-ball gloves, old chevy parts, innocent small birds, stupid cats, dummer dogs and rocks.
Busting , and pluging up my radiator and evaporator fins.
I went down to the local hardware store and pickup a gutter leaf blocker. I got the Aluminum type, the ones that come in 3 foot sections. Note: Buy one only.
Painted it black, cut it to shape, and placed it behind the stock openings, using black wire ties, 2.25$
Now it looks nice and is very effective against road debris.
Any more 3$ mods out there?
