Exclamation 12v Power Outlet- Cigarette Lighter

I changed the fuse for the cigarette lighter- although i just saw tonight that I need to change 2 fuses (since neither of them work) and it worked for about a day and then i got out of the car left it for a few hours and turned it back on and it didnt work again?? Any idea what could be causing this? I was thinking something with the wiring, but is it something that can be DIY or should I take it to the dealership-OH i should add I am not in warranty anymore...boo... I just need to be able to plug my GPS in :-)
Thanks!

You definitely have a short somewhere. Are you noticing it blowing a fuse after you use your GPS or regardless of when you use it? So if you replace both fuses and never use the GPS, it still shorts?

If you have DIY skills, this is something you could easily look into. Also, did you search TSX forum for "Cigarette Lighter". I saw something with the older TLs in a hasty search.
