I replaced the spark plugs at 100K with OEM plugs my question is it necessary to replace the coil packs also? There not cheap it's about $300 for 4 coil packs. BTW the car runs great!

I will be changing my niece's spark plugs at her next oil change. She has 98k on her 07 TSX. What did your old plugs look like? Did you notice any improvement in engine performance with the new plugs? Thanks.

I've replaced the plugs twice, once in my 05 and once in my wife's 07 (she'll be due again soon). Both cars did/do pretty much all highway, and a lot of miles at a time. I expected the plugs to be clean, and a nice brown/gray color, and they were. I replaced them only because 105K is the recommended interval, there were no problems with how the cars ran. I noticed no improvement in operation or mileage, but since Honda recommends replacement, that's what I did.

Old plugs looked good it's my daughters car I took it for a ride after the plug install I didn't notice any difference but then again I don't drive her car. I have the exact same car but in black with only 54K miles on it so it will be awhile before I change mine.

Thanks. This has been my experience too with fine-tipped iridium plugs. I have a copy of a technical paper Denso presented describing the development of their iridium plugs. Their objective was a plug which would go 200k miles BEFORE performance began to decline. According to their data, they did accomplish that objective. The only reason I change fine-tipped iridium plugs at 150k miles is because I do not want them to seize in the aluminum head. I have never seen any improvement in mileage or performance with new vs 150k old plugs.
