I have a 07 tsx and the cable reel squeeks/clicks every time I make a turn.

Dealership said it's normal and cannot be fixed.

Anyone has the same problem?

that dealer is bs!!! I had to change a cable reel on an 07 odyssey...UNDER WARRANTY, complain to acura customer service or try another dealer, my customer complained about the same noise and we had the cable reel the next day...no questions asked oh and the function of the cable reel is to allow the use of an airbag in the steering wheel while retaining the functions of the combination switches(turn signal and wiper stalk)

FWIW the cable reel has nothing to do with the turn signals or wipers. It contains the conductors for the air bag, horn, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls and handsfree link controls. Basically any button that must turn with the steering wheel.

And yes, sometimes they can make noise, but there are other sources of noise when turning the steering wheel. Some (like the turn signal cancel cam) are characteristic.
