04 TSX 6M Navi, 150k miles

The cabin temperature control up/down button (driver's side) broke today. It works in the UP direction, but not the down. You can tell it is physically broken - it just kind of flops around. I saw one other similar post like this, but he never got any responses. Has anyone else had this problem, and is their a cheap fix?

I tried just popping the switch out, but it didn't come out easy and I stopped before I broke something even worse.

I've seen a new panel for the nav is over $2k just for the part.

One thing I have found is that there is a voice command to change the temperature, so I'm not completely screwed. It's just kind of clunky to use.
