Looks great man! Very clean. Great job matching your interior color.

Does the Sunglass holder still close?

hmm, you make it sound as if i did. i guess i forgot to mention that i got it done at car toys in dallas. well they took out the whole sunglasses holder and added this. but if i want to sell the car without it, he made it possible to slide the holder right back in.

not to knock on the installer but that is the converter that you need for using the auxilary input. it does plug in you just need a mirror so you can look up behind the headunit to see the plug where the navi is plugged into. then you disconnect that plugh and plug it into the receptacle on the adapter and then plug the adapter into the whole where the navi plug was.

Thanks everyone. The labor was supposed to cost $330 at first, but his first shot at making it wasn’t that great. He agreed to start over, and I gave him all of last week to make another. In the end he charged me $250 since I had to wait a while

make sure the install runs the RCAs down the center tunnel b/c you run the risk of getting engine noise. I had noise at first and then ran them down the tunnel... completely clean now.

I finally fixed the engine noise coming through the speakers!!! My xm reciever was first in the right kick panel and the engine noise was unbearable. moda way recommended me to rewire everything down the center tunnel to the trunk where i put the reciever at (this took forever... first time to take apart anything in a car). This helped but i could still hear the whining noise when the music wasnt that loud.... so i bought a GLI from radio shack. I put it right under the cupholders and it cleared up the sound perfectly.
It seemed to me that the SHOND also absorbed that gay noise so i needed to put it as far away from the center dash as i could. After fiddling for about half an hour, the best place was right below the "not an ashtray" containter thing. It barely fit there and if the cable that hooked up to it was a centimeter shorter, it wouldnt reach... just perfect. So now about 90% of the engine noise is eliminated.

I didnt have to remove the headliner to hook up the SHOND. I dont think the installer had to remove it either, he just tucked the cable in the back of the it.
