"winter" is over in Cali....summertime setup!! 18x8's

Well I been rockin' the 17x7.5 Rota circuit 10's on the stock michleins and the time has come to replace the tires.

Now originally I was goin to just go 225/45 17's. But then I came across these....

thanks to JoeC1982 https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29283

I got a set of these. 3pc SSR D5R's in Bronze 18x8 49et on 225/45 Bridgestone RE040's. Well onto the pics.

"winter" setup haha....before

"summer" setup....after

I like the look. Has the Volk GT-C style. Would you ever get your windows tinted?

Very nice wheels. I'm a big fan of SSR wheels. Yours really dress up the car whether or not you drop it. Looks good as is.

Nice wheels. I agree with folks here though. Needs a tint and a drop at least. If you're not a fan of tints you cuold get a lighter tint.

ILUVMYHONDA,
Nice wheels! but you are a brave man. Last night on 101 near SF I went through as section that was half flooded - I have Yokohama AVS dB S2s on my accord so no probs. But man it is hardly summer here. Good luck with your set up.

CGTSX2004, I hear you. but it actually snowed in SF twice this month! rare. but last week I also drove through a good hail storm. also rare. But NorCal is hardly San Diego. Mt. hamilton (only 4200 ft) had a snow cap last week--about 50 miles south of SF. BTW I grew up in upstate NY driving RW drive in the snow.

I want you to slam that bitch. atleast drop it till there is no wheel gap. I however prefer to drop it till your tucking tire.

Newplay1 - yeah I kinda liked the spoke look of the rotas too, but yeah they not JDM the ROTA's were onle "JDM"

yes tucking tire on your daily driver. its not as low as you think. i mean i drove with the car tucking tire before i had the CL and I drove the tsx everyday. i mean i dont mean tucking a lot of tire but an half inch or 3/4inch.

I'm from Cali, so believe me, I have seen some strange stuff too. My bro is actually up at Davis right now and he's told me about some really weird weather as of late. Still, I don't think it would ever stay cold enough for snow to gather on the ground in Cali the way it does here in DC.

on another note sorry not trying to hijack but is anybody going to the Acurazine Bay Area meet? Last year I went and only 4 TSX's showed up to the almost 80-90 cars that were there. It made us TSX owners look bad Am down to go if anybody wants to go to it. I hope to have some goodies to show by then

clean looking car. I'm not a huge fan of gold/bronze rim on gunmetal cars?

I think lower drop would be nicer too.

how did you order them? i checked tirerack and they didn't show up as an option on the car or as one of the SSR rims http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/ssr/ssr.jsp

car looks great! can't wait to see it on coilovers. and +1 for no tint. never been a fan of tint either.
