meh... :ghey:

If it works for you, more props to ya...but in my experiences, all it takes is one Mass Air Flow sensor failure from becoming covered in oil from K&N filters and costing you $350 to replace. . . that you switch back to your $30 OEM filter or whatever cost it is. Not even Truflo foam filters for me.

lol fair enough mate - all car mods have some level of risk whichsome are willing to take and others are not. At the end of the day i'd rather have an intake designed by a well respected and high quality manafacturer to minimise this risk

looks nice. i didnt know who gruppe m is though, so i looked it up and found a picture of the intake on a cl7, looks nice, but too expensive for my taste, does this give any significant amount of hp gains ?

i'd love to have some pictures without the plastic covers, but these pictures were taken buy my supplier in sydney and i'm waiting for the part to be delivered to me (in brisbane)

www.topspec.com.au was who i got it from in Australia - you'd have to google for an American/Canadian supplier - I don't think many shops get this gruppeM stuff in

US distributor went bust couple of years back but i'm sure any company that deals with JDM products can get one for you also.
As for the price, it's not worth the gains you get. But you paid for the carbon fiber and design.
So far I think the one for DC5 is the sickest one. They incorporate a funnel where it directs air from the area where wind shield wipers go. I guess it has to do with air pressure.

This is definitely not a bang for your buck mod, but in my own and quite a few other's opinions, this is probably intake with the best design on the market. i know i'd rather pay all the extra money for this over the mugen for example, but thats just my preference. It's also been dyno proven to gain at least 10hp with the stock resonator in place - mine will be removed and I will have ducted airflow into the intakes "chamber". Given its short ram design it should also minimise low down torque and power losses.

In australia an exposed pod filter is also a defect, so with this i'm 100% legal, won't risk hydro lock, will have a sweet looking engine bay and something that is very unique. That being said it's not for everyone

On a side: the j's exhaust didn't arrive in this shipment, so i might even do a dyno to see what a 60mm single outlet exhaust does for the accord euro/TSX Should also let me down a sond clip for what the intake sounds like with Maxim headers/EuroR cat without the loud exhaust note getting in the way

That's like, one of the ultimate JDM intake dude!! You gotta go to track and test it out!! I am wondering how it sounds. Wonder if it sounds similar to the Mugen one~

I think the general "fury" rule, is to wait a month to post pictures or delay the install as long as possible to build anticipation.

Be sure and post pictures of the intake after the installation and write up a review. We need real pictures of your install becuase the "stock" display pictures are not sufficient to make a judgement becuase or different color hues and lighting issues.

I like the aesthetics of the Gruppe M myself.

Chris, lets see some pictures of that intake installed on your car. I like the looks, but would also like to see how big of a difference in hp compared with K&N/Injen

haha yep really excited abou this ay. I think it'll be a fair bit louder then the mugen intake, just imagine a pod filter attached directly to the "rubber thing" and encase it in carbon fiber... Im guessing the CF will act as a resonator of sorts and give it a failry unique sound

haha, i HOPE you get one man, it's the only intake for your car IMO. And trust me, when i get it monday, I'll take shit loads of detailed pics, kinda like i did for the maxim works headers.

Don't worry I'm not gonna hold off for ages according to the "fury therom".... this thing is going on as soon as i get it and a review and tons of pics will be up within a day or so.

hey guys... Intake is on... sounds great.

Gains can only be fealt in higher RPM and i can feel the restriction in the stock exhaust now that i got Header cat and intake.

unfortuneately couldn't get any pics before the install as i had to get it done really quickly during a uni break!

ill get as many pics as i can of it in the engine bay

That's a very nice looking piece. Looks like it integrates into the engine bay very well. Nice.

How does the power feel off the bottom with the intake?

haha, CCC i knew youd want it soon as you saw the picture...

yea it integrates well in the engine bay... very subtle but nice addition.

It's hard to install... you have to kinda show it around untill it ligns up perfectly.

There is basically no gaps at all in the space that it seals off! which is great coz it means lower intake temps.

I thrashed the car last night... and amazingly the CF doesn't even get warm let alone hot

bottom end wise it doesn't really feel like i've lost much at all... but now the high end really screams

low end torque increase? there isn't any

you only really feel the difference in power around 3.5krpm and above

the losses below that aren't really that noticeable if they are there

that little slated body panel which is the slope of the wheel well in front of the fuse box is where my aftermarket alarm siren is mounted.

ah ok.. itll definitely have to go, it's amazing how small the clearences are with the gruppeM, the grounding is one of the hardest things to get back into place not to mention clearing the battery and connecting the filter to the heat shield etc. it's a pain in the ass to install but defintiely worth the effort

yea should be able to find an importer somewhere.. i found my importer through google
