TSX Tourer

Here are some pics of essentially a TSX Wagon, my 06 Honda Accord Tourer 2.4 EX Auto.

Let me know if anoyone can spot any differences, apart from the trunk!

Excuse the dirt, shes going for a valet tomorrow

hey there, thanks for posting - interesting car, saw this recently on my trip to belgium.

some noticable differences:

headlight cluster (i like yours better)
interior center stack - US model is 'dialed up' a bit
seats - US has perforated leather
horizontal 'aluminum' strip across dashboard missing.
instrument cluster - US versions got the goodies here.

So, do you have a family or just like station wagons? err sorry, grand tourers.

What country are you posting from?

Mirrors are same size but power folding here.

When you say 'goodies' in instrument cluster what do you mean?

And the power tailgate which is really cool, opens and closes remotely. When you refer to it as a van its actually voted as the most atractive 'estate' car on the market

We can get the aluminium strip but its an addon, or plastic wood which is even worse. The inside of our tsx is the same as your accord

I think they're folded in on these pics. Otherwise, look similar though it's hard to see them.

We have a "multi-information display" in the center of the instrument cluster, gives things like MPG, AVG MPG, AVG SPD, Range, and more verbose warning indications.

Our passenger seat (at least on my 2006) doesn't have height adjustment.

Our outer marker/parking light on the headlight cluster is orange. Some like the silver better.

I don't think any Honda/Acuras have auto-sensing headlight switches. One salesperson said it was coming, but cancelled due to problems with sensors going bad. I would only want it if I had DRL (daytime running lights). Otherwise, the headlights turn off when you lock the car, so at night they can be left on.

Rain sensor? does any driver need to be told when it's raining? I'd file that one under "gimmicks that no one needs."

BTW, this is nothing like an Odyssey. We have tons of those here, and they're as big as SUVs now.

Sway bar goes under the car. You meant strut bar. They have 2 mini-strut bars that go to the firewall. So when they get an aftermarket bar added on, it ends up better than the TSX as there are 2 additional points of bracing.

l like the "i-Vtec" emblem in the bottom of the rear window. Very subtle, and similar to what was on the A-Spec TSX Concept.

What country are you in, looks like your speedometer is in MPH?

Interior materials and textures look quite different to me.

I see hood struts! We have a prop

We have info display in cluster too, its under the speedo, does everything like trip computer, speed limiter etc etc.

The lights are auto but dont stay on until you lock car, which would be nice

Rain sensor is good as you dont need to keep adjusting speed of wipers

Im in the UK, hood struts are a mod of mine from a US company, Redline Tuning.

You guys would hate what one of these things cost here, and for the interior quality, I think we get slightly better as the need to keep the cost down is not as high.

OUTSTANDING!! Didn't know such a neat car (that's right, CAR. Don't see any VAN here at all) existed. I've always been a wagon fan (99 Audi A6, 02 S4)(must confess no use for the MDX RDX and the like stupe utes though) and would be the first one in line if Honda brought it over.

Like them both, wish I could replace my Jetta wagon with one - in particular, a diesel. The grill on the 2.0 is nicer IMO. Nice pedals too! How's the mileage w/the 2.0? Can you get 35mpg easy? 45 on the highway? The Honda UK site suggested it a bit better than the 2.4.

I wonder if I could shift with my

I would totally buy one of these if they were available in the US.

Guess you're not a Mugen fan.

It's just missing the fogs, then I think you'd like it.

The one thing that I wish we had over here are the power folding mirrors.
I've always wanted them on any of my cars.

hunterk - the grille & pedals are options for the 2.0, they are standard for the jdm 2.4 type s. i get about 9+ km per litre, i guess that makes it about 30 - 35 mpg?

simba & hondatourer - ya, the front lip kinda makes the bumper look fat ha ha i got the mugen kit on impulse, couldn't find any other kits for the facelifted model...

davidspalding & hondatourer - cruise control seems to be an optional extra for the jdm 2.0, the uk & euro spec one is much better equipped. i could only get jdm here.

I guess I should just keep my opinions to myself on the body kit since I don't care for any of them (I'm all over the wagon though). I know they're attractive to some and that's fine; to each their own. No criticism here, just a different taste. I haven't seen anything that improves on the 04-05 body style unmolested, but again that's just my opinion.

The only minor advantage the North American TSX has is an extra 15-18 hp from the 2.4L i-VTEC (for 06-08 TSX models only). At +$3 a gallon for 91 octane again, I think I rather have the extra mpgs you get compared to the extra power we have.

Ha, $3 a gallon, try $2.10 a liter!!!! for regular unleaded here or a nice fat $2.50 a liter for super.

wankie, i guess you dont have a power tailgate either, i dont see the dash button for it??
