Longevity of the LEDs would absolutely not be an issue, and should never be in a properly designed system. LEDs will last, for practical reasons, indefinitely when voltage and polarity regulation are employed along with proper heat dissipation and headroom for heat tolerability inside the tailights during the hot summer months. The biggest dangers to LEDs are not considering heat and the "dirty" nature of automotive electrical systems.
To date we have had the same number of OEM philips D2S bulb, LED, and OEM 50 watt ballast problems - that number being zero.
The LEDs used are the same that come OEM on vehicles from Toyota, Honda, Acura, LExus, Audi, and BMW

If that's the case, I'm totally in for one...

If you would like to streamline a design, this would be the perfect community to help you refine it. You can always call votes and see what design is most popular and, hopefully, get you the most sales.

All we need is one person to take the plunge into giving up their tailights for a few weeks for all other TSX owners. Someone that doesn't use their TSX as a daily driver and wants to help out the community. This way, everyone else can have theirs done in three days, and you get a discount for your patience and helping out others that can't do the same.

All I gotta say is...

If 4 bills for custom LED tails is too rich for your blood, you need to give your head a shake. Or buy from those cheap-ass overseas scam shops. They'll give you a hot deal!

I just noticed that these lights have a parking and brake lights of the same intensity! That is really a very bad idea! Changing intensity of all the LEDs as well as changing the pattern is going to catch much more attention than just lighting up one more ring inside one already lit.

very true, but i haven't had any problems so far and these have been on my car for over 1+ years...

do you have any prototype tsx tail lights with LED's? Also, are your sets going to be plug-n-play requiring no splicing of cables?

All my retrofits, LED or otherwise are always plug and play, no splicing.

cool, that is excellent to hear!!

the LED's that I have had to be spliced and it's a real pain in the arse!!!!

RSX-CT, not sure if it was mentioned, do you have any pics of the finished product for the TSX? I'd love to see pics of all the peices before installation and also after installation and lit up...

Here is the first Pontiac Solstice ever done, finished this one up last week. As a note, I tried backlighting the pics so that the LEDs might actually look like they do in person, not like the blobs I usually get pics of. Apparently the backlighting I had available was not bright enough and they still look like blobs instead of LEDs! The bezels on these are designed to match the OEM chrome and function as follows:
The outside ring is the parking lights, the inside ring and the outside both light up brighter (1:8 contrast ratio) when brakes are applied. The solstice uses the same housings for turn signals, so here the signal alternate the brake/off or brake/park functions to indicate directional change.

Yes, fully plug and play. $400 for full parking and brake lights and bezels to make it all look OEM. If you want to do back up lights and turn signals, add $50. But in all honesty, the stock filament bulbs will have better performance in the turn signals and backup lights.

Yeah they ended up being a set of one off taillights. The taillights I think were then sold or sold with the car a long time ago.
