Tinted my headlights

Well I tinted the headlights on our TSX blue to match the car, nothing special but I thought others might want to see...

I used blue lamin-x film.

It's really hard to tell. Does it make your HID's and brights look blue?

What percent did you use? I will almost bet that if you used window film on it, it's not gonna last too long up front like that. Keep us posted on how it works out.

Did you buy a pre-cut kit or a sheet and make your own? I'm thinking of doing that but with clear or maybe the light smoke, just to protect the lense. I have yellow Lamin-X on my fogs (and had them on my other car, an Impreza with the pie pan fogs). They do help to keep the nicks and whatnot at bay.

The blue looks kind of nice/differant What's it look like with the lights on?

The HID's still look the same, the film simply makes the chrome part of the housing look deep blue. It's hard to see in these photos, but the look matches the paint very well.

The film is just for headlights, I don't know the %.

It's optical film, it doesn't really cut down the light output. I have yellow film on my '00 Accord coupe w/ an HID plug-n-play kit and the light out put is also the same.

The light does gain a slight tint, but it's still the same. We live in the Chicago area, I could likely drive without headlights and never know it, we have so much light.

nice... still a nice touch and one that'd be more evident on dark highway driving.

I can't see the need to tint headlights. It's not something that would occur to me to do.
