Suspension Set Up (56k death)

First of all, a special thanks to JTSO for the install and selling me some high quality suspension equipment. I have his old set up of the Eibach Sportlines and the Koni Shocks. Enjoy the pics!

That's the drop I was looking at getting with the same setup. How does the ride feel?

The ride is not that hard but more the you would expect from a prokit drop...naturally.

stock rims and tires there are no rubbing issues...

The ride is adjustable with the Koni Shocks and the ride feels great in my opinion, when you lower your car, no matter what ride quality will decrease but it is nothing dramatic...Thanks for the comments!!

Nice looking drop, and great looking car!

How long did it take Johnny to do the swap, about 1/2 hour?

(Don't mean to make you feel bad VB; but those struts were already built ).......

do you have a camber kit? If not the drop looks as if it doesnt need one.

Drop is perfect

sportlines look beautiful but i dont think they would be too comfortable with the 19's im eventually planning on getting

i think sportlines might be too low for 19's

does anyone agree/disagree with that????

still trying to figure out which springs to get ahhhh

Lucky bastard, LOL

Well, my Sunday got freed up so I'm going to get to bed early tonight and wake up and finish the install. Hopefully I'll have time to wash it and take pics too

I think if you get a properly designed suspension, you will be able to lower your car significantly and run 19s. For instance, the TSX that has been dropped the most is probably vwong's and he's been running 19s for a long time now.

If you plan on just throwing in sportlines w/ stock shocks, adding 19s will not be a good idea. But, if you run some Tein Flex coilovers, which allows you to easily drop it as low as the Sportlines, but still maintain near full stroke suspension travel, then 19s should be OK. They'll still be fragile and more likely to damage a rim if you hit a large pothole, but this is the nature of the 19" rim/tire combo itself rather than the suspension.

not...?

and the size of the wheel doesn't matter that much in itself, you're keeping the actual size of the wheel + tire the same as the 17s. the most important things that will affect rubbing tire size, wheel offset and possibly wheel width (which is related to tire size). wheel height doesn't factor in.

Phil, your car looks good with the aggressive drop! What's the final alignment spec?
