Ssm Ftw!?!

I really wanted CG or PWP but SSM is good enough for me. 04 SSM/Ebony 5AT w/nav. Certified used with 42k miles. Traded in 2003 G35 sedan for it few weeks ago. First car was a brand new 2003 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe but always wanted a TSX but it was more than i wanted to spend at the time. Finally i own a TSX.

Welcome to the club. Did you start the Honda conversion or did it come like that when you picked it up used?

Glad to be an official tsx owner! I always wanted one when i was first car shopping but it was more than i wanted to spend at the time. Ended up with my other choice.

with 06 full rear conversion

I would of kept the rims had i known i would switch to the TSX. But i got the G35 instead and the wheels wouldn't fit so i sold them. I know what it would exactly look like since hawaiiantsx had those on his ride at one time.

Sadly I sold the Accord and picked up the G35.

I got the grille a week after i got the TSX from Mr. Heel Toe. Awaiting the JDM hood trim (ssm) from him. I'm also getting the Euro R front lip but i'm focusing on the suspension before i get to the kit.

I have been browsing this forum for quite some time and working on my Accord i'm too familiar with the TSX. I'm really a noob on the jdm side so i'll need advice from the jdm whores(i know who they are ) on this forum.

Yeah i'm a member as you can tell from my SN as well as Gen7Accord.net.

I haven't seen much fixed up TSX'es in the bay area so i hope i get the chance to see some around or at a meet. The TSX meet i went to last year was fun and i saw some sweet rides. Now to be part of it, i can't image how mine will turn out.

Mine is staying N/A if some of you are wondering. But if someone decides to part out their S/C, i'm all for it. *wink* TSX536 *wink* The rims too.

nice choice.....besides the obvious power difference, is there anything you disliked about the G35 compared to the TSX?

I'm quite satisfied with the performance of the TSX. The navi on the G isn't user friendly. No touch screen and voice recognition. You can't enter new address without stopping the car. The leather seats are soft and comfortable but it doesn't "hug" you like the TSX does. The stock brakes are really crappy even though the brake pads were changed not too long ago. There were some self inflicted imperfections that were noticeable on the car. Instead of fixing them I traded it in. Can't be any happier with the purchase and kick myself i didn't get the TSX before the Accord and G35. It could've been S/C'ed by now.

haha, its Tony! I knew the user ID was familiar... are you serious! you traded in the G?! I dont remember you mentioning that you wanted a TSX over on the other boards...

When I buy my own car, it'll probably be a TSX,

I cant wait to see what you do with the TSX.

Yeah it's me Oscar. I always loved the way the TSX looked back when i got the Accord. I wasn't able to come up with the extra thousand dollars at the time. I could of gotten the TSX instead of the G but i wanted something that was RWD. The G was cheaper than the TSX too.
It was fun while it lasted with the G but gas was a killer and there were some minor damages done by me and a rock. Also the stock brakes were noisy even with fairly new pads. Instead of fixing them, i decided to sell it. I came across this deal for this TSX and the trade in value for the G was too good pass up.

Ordered Tein SS, Ingalls f/r camber kits, and Progress RSB. I'll update the pics after i get it and installed.

Tein coilovers have been out for awhile. Best prices i've seen @ http://thmotorsports.com for the Flex, SS, and Basics. The sway bar too!

^Edit: went with Buddy Club Racing Spec Dampers instead. Out of SS and Flex, only basics.

Eddie over at THMotorsports is the guys to call!!! Thanks for taking care off me! Look for them as a vendor here possibly.

I'll be sure to do that. It's being shipped from CA instead of where THMotorsports is located so probably next week. However, I'll wait until everything gets here before i do the install. Might take me awhile because it's getting hotter and hotter everyday. I broke out a sweat installing my K&N air filter today.

i'm planning on wheels, most likely 18s. Been through the phase of 17s,18s, and 19s on my accord but on the tsx 18s for sure. Gotta save up for the wheels so i'll rock the stocks until then. I love the tsx wheels since i ran those on the accord as well.

i dont think you're gonna need the camber kit for the front......i've seen cars dumped to the ground and the camber in the front still looked good....i put mine as far down as i could and still no probs

hmm that's weird i figure you would need it for the front too. I guess i'll see over time if the tires wear abnormally before doing the front camber. Thanks for the heads up.

i dont think you'll see any abnormal wear....after i dropped my car and took it for alignment, it was still way within factory specs....and that was with the tein basics almost all the way down

The Progress RSB arrive while i was at work. I got off early so i went straight to the install. Not the first time i install a sway bar. Took me more than 30 minutes. The nuts and bolts came off like butter. I'm notorious for stripping bolts on the g35. I really like the adjustability of this bar but i set it to the soft setting. I know stock it handles very well, can't imagine how this will ride. Now to wait for the BC Racing Spec Dampers.

Hey Hongda,

Was it hard to convert the 03-05 accord rear to an 06? What do you need to convert it? Thanks. Also, welcome to the club!

I was rear ended so i had the body shop get the 06 parts and put everything together. Basically, you need the 2006 bumper, trunk lid, tail lights and the led units. I sold everything and did the swap onto another accord and everything was a direct fit. You need to modify the wiring for the lights but that was fairly easy to do.

To chime in on front camber. I'm riding on Tein SS and have no front camber problems. When I got the rear adjusted back to spec(w/ rear ingalls kit installed), he said the front was still within factory spec just barely. I road over 12k on the tires and rotated them at 10k and didn't notice any abnormal wear.

I think the spec ranges from: -0.8 to +0.8

I was at -0.7

I'm more familiar with Tein so I have to plan around with the height adjustment.
Also new to Ingall camber kit which i think isn't all that great compared to SPC.
