Should have been painted from factory!
I was bored on friday so I had my painter paint some of the covers off the engine ABP, and also the CAI. I really think it looks 100% better. They should have painted all the covers the same color as the car. What do u all think?

Just regular paint from the body shop. I'm sure they use some kinda additive but it was painted ABP just as the factory paint. Not 2 sure as 2 what i'm going 2 do with the valve cover yet but we'll c. I do have 2 say the best part about it is it was FREE! Also not 2 sure if I'm going 2 have any of the interior parts painted as well. Any ideas??

yea please don't touch interior with paint...haha ur stock interior rocks.
anyways, maybe if u have an 06 or u have foglights on04-05, try foglight housing.
I'm actually buying a OEM paint set for a 04-05 hood chrome trim, but i'll obviously have some left since the piece is small, i'm thinking about trying the foglight housing paint to PWP on my 06. hard part is that this is jus a black plastic.....i dunno where to start. maybe just sand it hard and start putting primers ?...hmm

well that paint is just minor mod that won't affect much when reselling. it's just painted, nother mechanical change was done to the car.
jus judging from that pic thou, he seems to have the engine bay real clean. it actually looks real good from my eyes.

It's not like the engine bay looks radically different. If you didn't know better, you might even think it came that way. I wouldn't even bother doing anything to it if I were selling it. If anything, a buyer will notice how clean and well maintained it looks.
It does look good by the way. I think you should do your fuse box too, though that would be a little more effort I imagine.
And for future reference, if you are painting unpainted plastic, such as the fog light surrounds or something like the fuse box, to prep it you need to get it super clean then apply and adhesion promoter that is compatible with your paint. It's kind of like primer but it's meant specifically for plastic and you apply the color coat while the adhesion promoter is still tacky.

I was thinking about painting the fuse box but it would b way 2 much trouble 2 take apart and paint. I don't think I will have any trouble selling the car with the painted covers, I actually it will help it sell. Would I would like 2 get is more of those chrome nuts that hold the covers on. I think they look really good with the paint. Prob. just a dealer item. I guess its a NO on any of the interior parts. I was thinking about doing the valve cover a different color(somthing that really stands out), but not 2 sure if the paint will hold up. Any ideas guys????

The valve cover is aluminum right? Buy a spare, strip it, polish it and clear coat it. Or just leave it as is. There's not really room in your setup for another color without it looking out of place.
