Talking Proud Papa of an '06 TSX 6spd w/Navi

After years of waiting and months of research I brought this beauty home about 10 days ago. Looking forward to the many years of fun "she" and I will have.

Nice, congrats on the purchase. Personally, I would invest in a Clear Bra and remove the mud flaps, as both have been known to scuff the paper thin paint that our beloved TSX has. Search for topics on both and you'll see what I mean.

I knew the Clear Bra was available but hadn't made up my mind about it at the time of purchase. In addition to the very high cost there are no Clear Bra installers within 100 mile radius of me (Montgomery, AL). When I have the money and time to make my way back to Atlanta, GA I'm going to have the Clear Bra installed. The current nose mask was just cheap insurance ($125) until I get the Clear Bra installed. For now I'm keeping a good coat of wax on the front end and making sure to remove the nose mask when it gets wet. Can anyone recommend a good Clear Bra installer around the Duluth, GA area?

I like the extra protection the splash guards provide to the rest of the paint so they will stay. Besides I don't ever plan on removing them so if the paint is a little scuffed underneath it won't bother me, still better then the damage that could be caused without them. IMHO

Can anyone recommend a good Clear Bra installer around the Duluth, GA area?

yes, I considered that too. Good idea til you get the clear bra installed. I thought it would be a hassle to take it off when it gets wet so the paint doesn't cloud. also you should careful to make sure gravel doesn't get into to mask.

good luck!

Yes, this is the carbon fiber nose mask.
I'm going to exchange the hood part of the mask for another since this one has excessive wrinkles from a possible sowing error.
Anyway, here are some close up pics for ya.

Looks great. I can't say I love the leather bra but it looks pretty good. I have the clear bra on my TSX and, unfortunately it is being repaired right now for a crash I had over the weekend, I told the body shop that I don't want it back until there is a new clear bra installed. Get the clear bra, you won't be disappointed and be sure to clean under that leather one as dirt and moisture will get under there and damage the paint.

Good Luck with her!

Looks good! But, get that leather bra off of that thing! I didn't even know they still make them. Call 866-211-8273 and ask if they have a dealer near you for clear paint protection film. Tell them CJ Shades Window Tinting in WA sent you. I bet there is a dealer within a reasonable distance from you.

Car looks good! Congrats!
