I'll post once I get it up to Utah in late December or January, but really don't think there'll be much that's all that noticable.

Will probably buy a set of 16" Accord rims (plenty of them available at decent prices) with moderate snow tires, probably Dunlop M3s. Not much more needed there.

I just got my snows mounted today. I went with Kumho KW17's in 205/50/17 on my spare set of OEM wheels. I'll post a review once we have some snow on the ground.

Isn't it kind of early? I was hoping to wait until the end of November before throwing mine on.

Hey Dan, is there any thing you notice (good or bad) running on 205/50/17? i am planning to go with that on my OEM rims too. That tires are not too narrow for the rims, rite??

Ya it's a little early. So long as the temps don't go above 10c then they should be OK. I've had the wheels in storage at my parents place and they didn't want them hanging around so that accelerated my schedule this year.

Shouldn't be a problem. I'm picking up my car in a couple hours so I'll let you know what it's like.

The cost per mile is the same over the lifetime of your car, you just need to make the initial investment.

snow... wow, I haven't seen snow here since I was 5 years old! I'm glad I don't have to worry about winter tires or anything like that!

Well, sort of. I have a sled dog that I got from a racer up north (Whitehorse, YT). I've been training her for skijoring and for pulling my kids in a small sled. I've never driven a full team before, but I'd like to. I've been thinking about this trip, it's run by the fellow I got my dog from.

I just picked up my car and everything looks good. The 205/50/17 fit the wheels nicely and because they have a slightly smaller sidewall they actually look a little more sporty than stock IMO. They set the pressure at 38lbs wich is a little more firm than I like but it should be good when it gets colder. I'll probably drop it down to 36lbs for now.

I just tested the speedometer accuracy with the new tires and it's pretty good. When the needle is at 120kmh my GPS reads 117kmh. The tires are also noticeably quieter than the OEM Michelins too.

I love the snow. The more the better. So much snow that it paralyzes the entire city and returns things back to how it used to be. Nice and slow...

And then get to stay home!

I'll get my setup done early to mid-December for the sake of them lasting until mid-March.

LOL...I like how the tire tracks are a bit "sideways". Looks like fun.

I just alternate between the Prelude (background) and the TSX when it snows. The Jetta is unfortunately on its way out, otherwise it was the perfect beater.
