Ouch, that's so sad to see =(

i hate it when cars just drive over stuff or swerve at the last minute (ie: not giving you any clue that something is up ahead).

Just this morning there was something in the street on the way to work, and I noticed people just decided to go over it (letting it go between the wheels)...one person did run over it, but luckily I had already past it

i had something similar happen when i had my jetta, it was on the right side of my car, something got kicked up (in queens, too) and hit right between the windows on the passenger side (b-pillar) and scratched up the window and dented up the b-pillar, it sucks, cuz again, just like you, there was nothing i could do about it. i actually didn't even know until i heard it hit, because mine was on the side of my car

Wow sorry to hear about the damage. I just cringe at the sight of scratches and damages done to the TSX, let alone my own.

Wow! That's actually quite a bit of damage. Through the primer and all the way down to the metal. That really sucks. You'll probably need a new hood unless you want to use "bondo" or something.

I pulled the guy over, explained what happened & got his contact info, he was cool about it... but there is nothing I can do.. think about it from his insurance company's stand point. Theres no way to prove it once I saw that even though his fender was bashed in from a prevoius accident & hit grill was missing there is no way to prove that the debris that hit my car came off of his car. So I cut him loose. Yes its a frustrating experience, & I think Im taking it pretty well if I may say so myself, But the fact is Ive got to suck it up & keep it movin.
Tomorrow I got to a body shop that has done work I've seen & I admire on more than one car. I'll get an estimate & keep you guys posted. thank you for the condolences.

Day light pictures:

$1700-$2400 depending on if I get a new hood or not. The body shop guy said they might not want to pay for a new hood because its not that much damage & can be fixed instead of replaced. So thats 700 dollar difference.I put it in the shop to be looked at by an adjuster next week.

ouch sorry to see the damage man, but whatever it was, it did a lot. Good thing it didn't shatter ur side window or blow out your tire.

Now get yourself a CF hood and pronto!

OK... by the time I got the time to take pictures it was too dark.

thanks for the condolences. & your right. There was actually a doctor that was killed by a shotgun slug sized piece of debris, that penetrated his windshield.
